11-6-2026

In line with the mission of the Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy to serve the community and promote health and scientific awareness, the Committee continues to organize a variety of educational, scientific, and community-oriented activities. These efforts stem from its commitment to strengthening community engagement and fostering collaboration with civil society organizations and professional bodies.

Within this framework, the Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Committee for Women and Pharmacists Affairs at the Jordan Pharmacists Association, organized a scientific health and cosmetic day entitled “Integrating Health and Beauty in Pharmaceutical Practice” on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Conference Palace. The event was held under the patronage of Vice President of the University, Professor Firas Al-Hajji, President of the Jordan Pharmacists Association, Dr. Zaid Al-Kilani, and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Samar Thiab.

The scientific day aimed to highlight the pivotal role of pharmacists in promoting healthcare and providing specialized scientific counseling regarding cosmetic products and their safe and appropriate use, thereby contributing positively to individuals’ health and quality of life.

The six-hour program featured a series of distinguished scientific lectures covering various topics related to health and beauty. These presentations were delivered by a select group of academics, pharmacists, and experts with extensive experience in their respective fields. The event also included an exhibition featuring pharmaceutical companies, drug warehouses, dietary supplement providers, and cosmetic product companies, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and the exchange of knowledge and expertise among participants and supporting organizations.

At the conclusion of the event, lecturers, sponsoring companies, and participating exhibitors were honored in recognition of their valuable contributions to the success of this scientific event. The Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, represented by Dr. Manal Ayyash, and the Committee for Women and Pharmacists Affairs at the Jordan Pharmacists Association, represented by Dr. Lara Rabaya’a, were also recognized for their outstanding efforts in planning, organizing, and supervising this distinguished scientific day.

The Community Service Committee extends its sincere appreciation to all lecturers who enriched the event with their valuable knowledge and expertise, as well as to the sponsoring and participating companies, distinguished guests, and attendees. Special thanks are also extended to the faculty administration, members of the Community Service Committee from both the academic and administrative staff, and the committee and faculty students whose dedication and hard work contributed significantly to the success of this event.
