The Community Service Committee at the faculty of pharmacy at Applied Science Private University continues to provide community activities and collaborate with civil society organizations and educational institutions such as community schools. In cooperation with Umm Tufail School, the committee organized the initiative “An Hour with an Orphan Makes a Difference.”
The initiative was conducted in two phases. The first phase involved preparing gifts and visiting the school, where children participated in wrapping the gifts, preparing them, and arranging sweets that would later be presented to the orphans at SOS Children's Villages.
In the second phase, third-grade students from the school, accompanied by their teachers and the faculty students, visited the children’s villages. Upon arrival, they were welcomed by the village administration. Various enjoyable competitions and activities were organized, and gifts were distributed to both the orphans and the students. The event took place on Thursday, 7/5/2026.
Everyone highly appreciated the well-organized and integrated effort, as well as the dedication shown in bringing joy to the orphans and the faculty students, who demonstrated remarkable cooperation and interaction with the children at the villages.
