Applied Science Private University Participates in an Awareness Event for North City Academy’s Students on Skincare and Personal Hygiene

As part of the efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Applied Science Private University to promote health awareness among adolescent girls, the faculty organized an awareness activity at North City Academy targeting 8th, 9th and 10th grade students.

The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Faten Odeh, Coordinator of the Alumni Follow-up Committee, and in collaboration with our outstanding alumna, Pharmacist Farah Barghouth, representing Derma Pella skincare products.

During the event, Dr. Faten delivered a lecture entitled “My Skin, My Care… The Secret of My Beauty”, in which she highlighted the importance of personal hygiene and skincare, explained the correct ways to choose skincare products according to different skin types, and discussed healthy daily habits that help enhancing students’ self-confidence and help reducing common skin problems.

Our alumna, Pharmacist Farah Barghouth, also provided a specialized explanation of the components of skincare products and how to use them safely and effectively, presenting an exemplary model of the role of the Faculty of Pharmacy graduates in supporting community activities and promoting health awareness.

This activity comes within the university’s vision to empower its students and graduates to actively participate in community service, strengthen long-term partnerships between the faculty and its alumni, and contribute to providing the local community with scientifically sound health knowledge.
