As part of the activities of the 1st Specialized Youth Pharmacy Forum, organized by Dr. Mandala in collaboration with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) as the official sponsor, and within the company’s pioneering efforts to empower young pharmaceutical professionals and provide high-level international training opportunities, Rotana Zayed, a student from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Applied Science Private University, participated in the hands-on training program offered exclusively by Dr. Mandala in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The program was held at Shefaa Al-Orman Cancer Hospital from 6-16 November 2025.
During this training, the student gained extensive professional and scientific experience across several hospital departments, including:
Day Care, In-Patient, Out-Patient, Orientations, Quality Assurance, Nutrition, TPN preparation, and IV.
She also developed practical skills in medication verification, dispensing, delivery, and patient safety monitoring using the hospital’s integrated electronic system, which significantly contributes to reducing medication errors and improving the quality of care.
Additionally, the student participated in the 5th Annual Conference of Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital, where she was introduced to the latest research in clinical pharmacy and pharmacokinetics, and learned about the tremendous efforts undertaken by the hospital to reduce cancer rates in Upper Egypt while continuing to provide high-quality treatment services despite relying entirely on charitable donations.
The student expressed her deep appreciation for the warm reception and the professionalism of the medical staff, emphasizing that the experience was both scientifically and personally enriching. She affirmed her commitment to accurately representing the pharmacy profession and promoting medication awareness in a way that contributes to improving the healthcare sector within the community.
We wish Rotana Zayed continued success in her academic and professional journey, and all the best in her future endeavors.
