In celebration of the start of the new academic year, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Applied Science Private University welcomed the new students to the faculty on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
The introductory meeting began with an introduction to the Deanship of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the heads of the departments, highlighting their role in facilitating the students' journey during their years of study. The meeting also included an explanation of the specific regulations for the pharmacy major, and a discussion of the new curriculum developed in response to the demands of the job market. A significant portion of the discussion focused on the training mechanism during the study period and its importance. Additionally, the conversation between students and faculty administrators explored the various job opportunities available after graduation.
In the latter part of the meeting, a recent graduate of the faculty, currently enrolled in the master’s program, gave a speech to share their experiences during and after their studies. Following this, a competition was held among the new students using Kahoot platform to test their knowledge of the rules and general information about the major, with prizes awarded to the winners.
The event concluded with friendly conversations and introductions among the new students over coffee and sweets.
The faculty administration welcomes its new students and encourages them to reach out if they have any questions or inquiries. An announcement regarding a meeting with students from different cohorts will be made soon.
