With the beginning of the new academic year, the Pharmaceutical Practice Group continued its vision of providing distinguished pharmaceutical training to students and bridging the gap between in class education and practical training, as it held on Monday 10-14-2024 a discussion and practical workshop entitled:
(Dealing with insurance prescriptions)
This workshop received a strong response from the students due to their desire to learn the basic skills for dealing with insurance companies. It began with a comprehensive definition of the health insurance system and the type of services it provides to individuals depending on the insurance coverage, the percentage of deductibility, and the cost resulting from it.
Several models of insurance prescriptions were also presented and discussed, and students were trained on the skill of detecting, solving and treating errors, what is the best way to act in different situations, and how to obtain the approval of the insurance company in the event of suspicion of a problem with the health insurance prescription.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Louay Saadeh, Head of the Pharmaceutical Practice Group, honored and thanked Dr. Diaa Amr for her cooperation and constant desire to provide useful information to the students and support them during their training process in community pharmacies.
