In response to the university's vision for applied and technical education and in alignment with the vision of His Majesty, the Applied Engineering / Hybrid and Electric Vehicles specialization was introduced in 2024. This program emphasizes practical application, with over 50% of the curriculum dedicated to hands-on learning, making it the first applied engineering specialization within the College of Engineering. The specialization aims to prepare skilled professionals for the Jordanian labor market by integrating practical training within the university and forging partnerships with local industries to ensure top-tier student training.

Applied Engineering in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (HEVs and EVs) is a newly established, innovative program at the Applied Science Private University.
