Amman, Jordan — The Jordan Engineers Association, represented by the Electrical Engineering Branch - Young Engineers and Media Committee, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the IEEE Student Branch, organized an awareness event for the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Applied Science Private University. The event took place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the university's Faculty of Dentistry theater.
The event, titled "Engineering Design and Consulting in the BIM Era" , aimed to educate students on the engineering fields in demand both locally and globally.
During the event, the session featured Dr. Ismail Dawood as the keynote speaker ; he is an expert in electrical design and engineering consulting, and the Head of the Electrical Department at Dar Al-Omran. Meanwhile, the dialogue session was moderated by Eng. Moayed Ali, an electrical engineer specializing in Building Management Systems (BMS).
The discussions covered several important topics, including the field of engineering consulting and design, and the role of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the job market. Skill development was also highlighted by reviewing important software and tools , in addition to courses and certifications that enhance employment opportunities for freshly graduated engineers.
Alongside the session, the event included an introductory "booth" for the Young Engineers and Media Committee at the entrance of the Conference Palace, aimed at introducing the committee's services and activities.
