19-5-2025

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Samiha Jarrah, President of Applied Science Private University, and organized by the Faculty of Art and Design, the Ninth Interior Design Forum commenced on Monday, May 19, 2025. The event served as a prominent platform blending academic creativity with forward-looking visions, with broad participation from professionals, students, and representatives of the design industry.

In light of the rapid developments in design and technology, this year’s forum was held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Design.” The event highlighted the growing impact of technology in reshaping the tools and methodologies of interior and architectural design, while emphasizing the role of AI in enhancing the quality of designed spaces in alignment with future demands.

The forum witnessed outstanding participation from 16 interior design departments representing various public and private Jordanian universities, and was attended by over 350 participants, including professors, students, experts, and key industry stakeholders.

The program featured engaging panel discussions with AI specialists, welcome speeches, and a creative theatrical performance by students of the Faculty. The performance showcased the evolution of design from ancient civilizations to the digital age.

The accompanying art exhibition was inaugurated by the University’s Vice President, Professor Dr. Feras Al-Hajji. The exhibition included student projects from the participating universities and reflected innovative student perspectives on integrating modern technologies into architectural spaces.

The forum’s sessions were broadcast live on the "ArchiNet" platform, broadening digital engagement and outreach across social media channels.

The event concluded with an interactive gathering of faculty members from the participating universities, in an atmosphere of collaboration and inspiration that embodied the spirit of academic and professional exchange.

It is worth noting that the forum was generously sponsored by Baladna Milk Company and Uncle Osaka Company, in support of academic excellence and to strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and the private sector.
