​As part of its commitment to social responsibility and strengthening partnerships with international humanitarian organizations, Applied Science Private University, represented by the Faculty of Art and Design, concluded a specialized training course in digital photography, organized in cooperation with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) under the cooperation agreement between the two parties.

The course concluded with a ceremony honoring the participants and supervisors, during which certificates were presented in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of the program. The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Prof. Dr. Emad Al Fahmawee.

The course was designed for war-injured individuals and their companions, providing them with professional knowledge and practical skills in digital photography. It aimed to equip participants with hands-on experience that would enable them to pursue a profession aligned with their interests and aspirations, while enhancing their prospects for sustainable employment upon returning to their home countries.

The course was delivered by Dr. Ali Al-Hammouri and combined theoretical and practical components covering the fundamentals of digital photography, visual composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. It also included intensive hands-on activities that enabled participants to further develop their technical and creative skills and produce photographic works demonstrating their ability to use photography as an effective medium for expression and communication.
