As part of Applied Science Private University’s ongoing efforts to enhance its community engagement and foster connections with educational institutions, the Faculty of Art and Design welcomed a student delegation from Shams Al-Kawn School on May 8, 2025. The visit was organized under a collaborative program aimed at introducing school students to the various disciplines within arts and design, and inspiring creativity and innovation among youth.
The visit included a tour of the faculty's facilities and laboratories, such as the materials lab, the accessories and fashion lab, the photography studio, and other key spaces. During the tour, students received an overview of the vision, mission, and identity of the Faculty of Art and Design. They were introduced to the different departments and academic specializations, as part of a broader community outreach initiative that seeks to build bridges between the university and the community, and to encourage young students to explore creative fields from an early age.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their excitement and appreciation for the diversity of creative design processes they witnessed. Accompanying teachers and students alike conveyed their gratitude for the warm reception and the rich educational experience provided, emphasizing the importance of continuing such constructive collaboration between public and higher education institutions.
