24-4-2025

The Department of Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Design organized an educational field visit to the ancient city of Jerash for students enrolled in the "Digital Photography" course. The visit included the participation of more than one hundred students from four different course sections, under the supervision of Dr. Ali Al-Hamouri, Lec. Ahmad Issa, Lec. Eid Al-Mulqi, and Lec. Tahreer Hamdan.

The visit aimed to enhance students' practical skills by providing them with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquired in a real-world environment rich in historical landmarks. During the visit, students documented the architectural and archaeological beauty of Jerash using a variety of digital photography techniques and methods.

The participating students demonstrated notable engagement throughout the visit, capturing artistic photographs that reflected the aesthetic aspects of Roman architecture in Jerash. They focused on key elements such as lighting, angles, and composition, thus strengthening their practical skills and reinforcing the connection between academic learning and field experience.

This initiative is part of a series of educational activities regularly organized by the department, reflecting its commitment to providing students with direct visual experiences that contribute to refining their creative skills and enhancing their artistic sensibilities.
