24-4-2025

In line with its steadfast commitment to community service and its mission to promote the humanitarian role of art, the Faculty of Arts and Design at Applied Science Private University organized a distinguished artistic activity in collaboration with Al-Rajaa School for the Deaf in Al-Rusaifa. The event featured the active participation of the faculty’s students under the supervision of faculty member Lec. Mohammad Sobh.

Ten talented students from the Faculty, known for their exceptional skills in handcraft arts, took part in the event. They conducted a series of training workshops for the students of Al-Rajaa School, covering various fields such as drawing and coloring, accessory making, paper quilling art, and the design of stickers and keychains—offering a rich experience that combined technical skills with creative expression.

The event was characterized by a positive and interactive atmosphere, with the students of Al-Rajaa School showing great enthusiasm and remarkable engagement across the different workshop stations. The workshops were carefully designed to develop their artistic abilities and expand their creative horizons, using tools and techniques that empowered them to express themselves more deeply and effectively.

This initiative is part of the Faculty of Arts and Design’s ongoing efforts at Applied Science Private University to build bridges of communication with various segments of society and to affirm the role of art as a means of expression and empowerment, reflecting the university’s spirit in delivering impactful and sustainable initiatives.

The administration of Al-Rajaa School expressed its sincere gratitude to Applied Science Private University and the Faculty of Arts and Design, represented by the Dean, Professor Dr. Emad Al Fahmawee, and to the faculty team for their continuous support and dedication to empowering deaf students by developing their artistic skills and providing them with new techniques that broaden their opportunities for expression and creativity.
