The Faculty of Arts and Design at Applied Science Private University concluded the eighth edition of the School Drawing and Design Competition on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The competition was held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, and witnessed extensive participation from students representing public and private schools in the capital, Amman.
Nearly 300 male and female students from 55 schools participated in the competition. They were distributed across two age categories:
- Category 1: Grades 7 to 9
- Category 2: Grades 10 to 11
The competition addressed various themes in expressive drawing and artistic design, allowing students to creatively engage with subjects inspired by the environment, society, imagination, and innovation.
During the closing ceremony, the winners were honored and awarded both material and financial prizes, in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Samiha Jarrah, and the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Haytham Abu-Khadeeja. Both stressed the importance of supporting artistic creativity from an early age.
The ceremony concluded with the opening of a comprehensive art exhibition showcasing the students' work. The exhibition served as a platform for creativity and knowledge exchange, highlighting the diversity in artistic styles and themes that reflected the students' outstanding talents.
The Faculty of Arts and Design emphasizes that this competition is one of its most prominent annual events and represents its firm commitment to social responsibility and its continuous efforts to foster talent and develop artistic awareness in future generations.
