From 21-5-2026 to 15-6-2026

The Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Arts and Design, Applied Science Private University, has concluded the Master's thesis defenses for students enrolled in the Master's Program in Interior Design, which were held from May 21 to June 15, 2026. The defenses were attended by examination committee members, faculty members, and a number of interested attendees. The theses reflected a distinguished standard of scientific research and addressed contemporary topics that keep pace with the rapid developments in interior design, digital technologies, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality.

The discussions featured the thesis of Imran Mousa Hassan Zayed, entitled "Digital Technologies and Their Role in Improving Design and Production Processes in the Furniture Industry in Jordan," supervised by Prof. Osama Hassan Ali, with Dr. Mahmuod Ismael serving as the internal examiner and Dr. Mayada Fahmi as the external examiner.

The student Omar Hassan Abdullah Al-Qudah also defended his thesis entitled "The Impact of Employing Artificial Intelligence in the Interior Design of Retail Stores to Enhance the Shopping Experience: A Case Study in Jordan," supervised by Prof. Osama Hassan Ali, with Dr. Alis Shbaita serving as the internal examiner and Prof. Ashraf Al-Khattat as the external examiner.

In addition, Mahmoud Hammad Ahmad Hammad defended his thesis entitled "The Role of the Interior Designer in Integrating Native Plants into the Design of Gardens Adjacent to Buildings Using Modern Agricultural Technologies," supervised by Dr. Anas Shamaileh, with Prof. Osama Hassan Ali serving as the internal examiner and Dr. Khaled Al-Mahasis as the external examiner.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Emad Al-Mashharawi defended his thesis entitled "The Influence of Social Media on Interior Design Choices in Jordan," supervised by Dr. Roba Jadallah, with Dr. Shorouq Al-Tamimi serving as the internal examiner and Dr. Malek Shneikat as the external examiner.

The thesis defenses also included Rahaf Muawiya Jumaa, who presented her thesis entitled "The Application of Nanotechnology in Preserving Sustainable Interior Design of Heritage Buildings: An Analytical Study in Jordan," supervised by Dr. Mahmuod Ismael, with Dr. Dania Abdulaziz serving as the internal examiner and Prof. Issam Odeh as the external examiner.

Furthermore, Majd Al-Atrash defended her thesis entitled "The Impact of Design Treatments on Reducing Visual Pollution and Optimizing the Use of Interior Space," supervised by Prof. Emad Al Fahmawee, with Dr. Anas Shamaileh serving as the internal examiner and Prof. Mohammad Nassar as the external examiner.

The series of thesis defenses concluded with Maya Sobhi Jumaa, who presented her thesis entitled "The Effectiveness of Integrating Interior Design Elements with Virtual Reality Technologies in the Therapeutic Environment of Mental Health Clinics: A Case Study in Jordan," supervised by Dr. Mahmuod Ismael, with Dr. Saeed Alhmoud serving as the internal examiner and Dr. Mohammad Al-Azzali as the external examiner.
