7-5-2026   21-5-2026

As part of ASU's commitment to keeping pace with the rapid developments in digital design and game production, the Department of Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Art & Design organized a series of specialized training workshops delivered by Lec. Hassan Al Tarawneh. The workshops were aimed for students majoring in Digital Media Design, as well as those interested in the field of electronic game design & development.

The series began with the Game Studio Production (Pipeline) workshop, which explored the game production pipeline and the systematic workflow followed in game development studios, from the initial concept and planning stages, through design and production, all the way to launch and post-release phases. The workshop also emphasized the importance of organization and team management in successfully delivering digital projects.

The series also included the Game Assets Creation workshop, which focused on the essential components used in video game design, including 3D models, 2D graphics, materials and textures, sound effects, and animation. It also highlighted the aesthetic and compositional aspects that contribute to building an integrated and engaging visual experience for users.

The series concluded with the Game Development (Unreal) workshop, which showcased the capabilities of Unreal Engine, one of the world's leading game engines used in video game development. Participants were introduced to the process of building interactive environments and digital worlds, as well as the key tools the engine provides for developing professional games that meet the demands of the modern industry.

These workshops are part of the Faculty of Art & Design's ongoing efforts to strengthen the practical aspect of students learning and equip them with the skills and knowledge needed in the fields of digital design and game production, helping prepare graduates who are capable of competing in both local and global job markets.
