As part of the efforts of the Visual Communication & Design program in the Faculty of Arts and Design to enhance practical learning and connect academic knowledge to real-world applications, a visit was organized for the students of the User Interface and User Experience Strategies course, accompanied by the course instructor Lec. Hadeel Qara’an, to the “Makerspace” affiliated with the Crown Prince Foundation. The visit aimed to introduce students to innovation and digital fabrication environments, as well as the latest technologies used in idea development.
The visit included an introductory tour of the Makerspace facilities, where students were introduced to a range of modern tools and technologies in the field of digital manufacturing. This was followed by an informative lecture delivered by Eng. Ahmad Fares, in which he discussed the Foundation’s role in supporting innovation, empowering youth, and providing an environment that fosters creativity and development. The visit also featured a presentation of several projects and success stories realized through the Makerspace, giving students the opportunity to explore inspiring real-world experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship.
