The Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Art & Design at ASU organized a series of specialized training workshops aimed at developing students practical and creative skills, and strengthening their experience in design and digital visualization.
Dr. Mahmoud Ismail delivered a workshop titled “Creative Design Thinking,” which addressed methods of form analysis, concept generation, and transforming concepts into developable and applicable design solutions. The workshop also explained mechanisms of creative thinking and the relationship between concept, function, and aesthetics in design, helping students enhance their ability to propose innovative design solutions and refine their artistic vision.
Lec. Omar Hawasheen also presented a specialized workshop on poster design and digital visualization, covering the fundamentals of visual output, professional poster layout methods, and the effective use of design elements, color, and textures to produce compelling presentation boards that communicate design ideas clearly and attractively.
Another workshop titled “Space Planning and Layout Using AutoCAD” was conducted by Lec. Khaled Al-Radaideh. The workshop aimed at introducing students to the basics of spatial planning and layout using AutoCAD, with a strong focus on practical application.
These workshops reflect the department’s commitment to providing an interactive learning environment that integrates academic knowledge with hands-on practice, keeping pace with modern developments in interior design and digital visualization, and contributing to preparing students who are capable of competing and excelling in the job market.
