Interior Design Students Launch Art Workshops at Wadi Al Shita School as Part of Community Engagement

9-4-2026

The Community Service Committee of the Interior Design Department at the Faculty of Art & Design at ASU organized a community activity at Wadi Al Shita Mixed Secondary School in Wadi Al Seer, in collaboration with the “Ambassadors for Life” organization.

The visit featured four diverse art workshops. Dr. Alis Saad Shbaita and Dr. Dania Abdelaziz, delivered a specialized workshop in interior design, while Lec. Mohammad Sobuh conducted a mural painting workshop. In addition, students from the Faculty of Art & Design led two creative workshops focused on crafting accessories and keychains, with the participation of a number of talented and creative students.

The school students showed remarkable engagement with the workshops, demonstrating strong interest in the hands-on activities and artistic experiences. This helped create an interactive learning environment that enhanced their creative and artistic skills, while also enabling them to grasp concepts more easily through direct application and practice.

At the conclusion of the event, the school administration presented a commemorative shield to ASU and the Faculty of Art & Design. Additionally, Ambassadors for Life awarded the university a certificate of appreciation in recognition of its active contribution and efforts in supporting community and educational initiatives, as well as its role in serving the local community and developing students’ skills.
