“Eid Clothing”… A Humanitarian Initiative by the Faculty of Art & Design Bringing Smiles to Children’s Faces

As part of its role in serving the community and promoting values of social solidarity, the Faculty of Art & Design at ASU organized a charitable campaign titled “Eid Clothing” on Monday, March 17, 2026. 

The initiative aimed to bring joy and happiness to children from underprivileged families by providing them with Eid outfits and distributing gifts. The event was carried out with the participation of a group of students, as well as faculty and administrative members, in a volunteer activity that reflects the spirit of giving and social responsibility. 

The campaign was implemented in cooperation with the Rawabi Jordan Charity Center, which assisted in coordinating with beneficiary families and organizing the distribution process in the Hai-Nazzal area of Amman. A total of 35 clothing items were distributed to children, in addition to gifts provided by the participating students to bring joy to their hearts. 

A total of of 25 students from the Faculty, along with 5 faculty & administrative members participated in the campaign, and contributed to the organization of the event, purchasing the clothing, and distributing it to the children. 

This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to eliminating poverty, reducing inequalities, and fostering partnerships to achieve these goals. 

It highlights the role of the Faculty of Art & Design in strengthening students engagement in volunteer work, supporting humanitarian initiatives, and serving the local community, affirming the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to providing an educational environment grounded in social responsibility and the values of cooperation and solidarity within the community.
