Occupational Safety and Health… A Step Toward a Safer University Environment

As part of its commitment to promoting a culture of safety and professional preparedness within the university environment, the Faculty of Art and Design at Applied Science Private University, through the activities of the Faculty Emergency Committee, organized a workshop entitled “Occupational Safety and Health” in cooperation and coordination with the Faculty of Nursing. The workshop targeted academic and administrative staff and was held on Thursday, December 18, at the Faculty of Art and Design building. 

The workshop focused on first aid procedures for dealing with a range of injuries and emergency cases, including burns, their classification and proper treatment, cases of tongue swallowing, various types of injuries, and the mechanisms for rapid and correct response in such situations. 

The workshop was delivered by Ms. Ferial Al-Hajjaj, Ms. Lina Jaafar, and Ms. Amani Abu Shahadeh from the Faculty of Nursing. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Professor Dr. Emad Al Fahmawee, honored the presenters, commending their efforts and the continuous role of the Faculty of Nursing in delivering such important awareness workshops. He also praised the efforts of the Emergency Committee in organizing and successfully conducting these workshops, highlighting their effective role in raising awareness and strengthening the culture of first aid and occupational safety. ​
