Student Layan Hossam Mohammad Zaid from Applied Science Private University – Faculty of Art and Design / Department of Design and Visual Communication / Graphic Design Major achieved a distinguished accomplishment by winning two First Prize awards in the Arab StarPack Student Packaging Awards 2025, in the following categories:
- Save the Food – First Prize Winner
- Visual Packaging – First Prize Winner
This achievement resulted from two projects developed within the Packaging Design course, under the supervision of Lec. Ahmad Issa. The works demonstrated an advanced level of design thinking and visual innovation, addressing sustainability issues and reducing food waste through creative and practical packaging solutions.
The Arab StarPack Student Awards is considered one of the most important Arab competitions specialized in packaging design and development. It aims to support student creativity and connect academic education with the needs of the labor market and the packaging industry, with a focus on sustainable and innovative solutions in the packaging sector.
The 2025 edition witnessed the participation of 111 students from several Jordanian universities, reflecting the scale of competition and the strength of the submitted works.
Winners are scheduled to be honored during the awards ceremony to be held in the Arab Republic of Egypt in June, in the presence of representatives from Arab universities and experts and specialists in the packaging sector.
