26-10-2025

The Faculty of Art and Design at ASU — represented by the Department of Interior Design — participated with a student delegation in the activities of the 3rd Fall Design Week organized by FIU in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. This participation comes as part of the activation of the academic cooperation agreement signed between the two universities.

The theme of the event was: “How Can Fun Learning Meet Knowledge?”

The program included more than 13 design and interactive workshops with students from various international universities, offering participants an intensive practical learning experience, and a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, and develop their skills in interior design and visual arts.

In that context, Dr. Shrouq Al-Tamimi - the academic supervisor of the delegation -  clarified that such activities encourage creative thinking, and provides students with hands-on field experience that goes beyond traditional classroom education.

Prof. Zeynep Onur, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts at FIU, praised the academic and creative level of the participating students, emphasizing that the event aims to merge enjoyment with knowledge and to build a shared international educational environment that helps refine the skills of the new generation of designers.

This participation aligns with ASU’s vision to support opportunities for international academic exchange and to expand educational horizons for its students, meeting the demands of the profesional market, while strengthening the university’s presence in the global academic scene.
