As part of its participation in the European ERASMUS project “Fashion Forward,” the Faculty of Art and Design at Applied Science Private University – represented by the Department of Fashion and Accessories Design – took part in the second steering committee meeting, hosted in Banyoles – Girona (Spain) and organized by WUSMED Foundation on 17–18 September 2025.
The Faculty was represented by a distinguished delegation including Professor Dr. Mohammad Hamdan, Assistant to the President for Global Projects, Dr. Olivia Hejaz, and Dr. Sarah Al-Khatib from the Department of Fashion and Accessories Design. The delegation made valuable contributions to discussions on the project’s progress and future plans.
The “Fashion Forward” project aims to develop an advanced professional diploma in fashion design, bridging the gap between academia and labor market needs while strengthening capacity-building and knowledge exchange between European and Arab universities.
During its participation, the University reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its students and graduates through innovative educational programs and international partnerships that open new opportunities in the fashion and accessories industry, both locally and internationally. The meeting concluded with the adoption of a roadmap for the coming months, focusing on practical strategies to transform the project’s outcomes into real career opportunities, reinforcing the Department’s role as a pioneering hub for creativity and excellence.
