As part of its ongoing commitment to integrating art into community service and enhancing its role as a bridge for communication and self-expression, the Faculty of Art and Design at Applied Science Private University organized an art workshop at Al Rajaa School for Deaf or Hearing-Impaired Children, in coordination with Al-Hayat Association for the Care of People with Disabilities.
This workshop is part of a series of artistic events and workshops regularly organized by the Faculty, aimed at developing students’ skills, integrating them into their community, and providing them with a space to express themselves through visual arts and crafts.
The workshop was led by Lec. Mohammad Sobuh from the Faculty of Art and Design, who trained approximately 15 students in various drawing and coloring techniques, closely following their progress and helping them refine their expressive styles. The students showed remarkable engagement, which was clearly reflected in their unique artworks carrying a distinct and personal touch.
The administration of Al Rajaa School expressed its gratitude to Applied Science Private University and the Faculty of Art and Design for this initiative, which contributed to boosting students’ morale and nurturing their creativity. Al-Hayat Association for the Care of People with Disabilities also praised this fruitful collaboration, affirming that such activities play a vital role in promoting the inclusion of deaf and hearing-impaired students in the community and showcasing their artistic talents.
