As part of its firm commitment to supporting cultural and artistic movements, the Faculty of Art and Design at Applied Science Private University participated in the “Aqaba Waves” Art Symposium, organized by the Ayla Society for Culture and Arts in the city of Aqaba, from June 17 to 20, 2025.
The faculty was represented by Lec. Mohammad Sobuh, who presented a collection of visual artworks inspired by the features of Aqaba. His modernist approach reflected the artist’s interaction with the local environment, offering a distinctive and compelling artistic experience.
The symposium brought together a distinguished group of artists and academics from Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan, creating a platform for dialogue and the exchange of artistic and intellectual perspectives. This contributed to strengthening cultural ties among the participating countries.
The event concluded with the opening of an art exhibition showcasing the works produced during the symposium. The Ayla Society for Culture and Arts expressed its appreciation for the participation of Applied Science Private University, commending the active role of the Faculty of Art and Design and its valuable contributions that enriched this artistic gathering.
