Under the patronage of ASU’s President Prof. Samiha Jarrah and her vice-presidents, the Department of Mathematics held its first scientific day. The event was attended by Al Al-Bayt University Vice-president Prof. Ahmed Al-Alawneh and Dr. Hamza Al-Kassasba from Ajlun National University. It also hosted Prof. Shaher Al-Momany from the University of Jordan, who is renowned to be among the top 2% of the world’s researchers.
The activity included introductory talks and interactive workshops on the significance of mathematics and its applications in several fields. There was also an exhibition to show diverse projects of mathematical posters and models, and students made presentations. The winners in the posters and presentations competition were honored.
It was a vivid atmosphere, which promoted innovation and exploration to enhance the department’s role in enriching quality education, progress towards excellence and cultural activity at ASU.
