Dr. Laith Al-Shdifat

Acting Head of Department

Dr. Laith Al-Shdifat joined Applied Science University (ASU) as an Assistant Professor of phytochemistry and drug delivery systems in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. Dr. Al-Shdifat received his B.Sc. from Applied science private university (ASU), M.Sc. in pharmaceutical sciences from University of Jordan, and his Ph.D. from University of Sydney.​

  • Design, perform, validate, and analysis of methodologies for:

    • Identification, purification, and quantification the compound of interest utilizing analytical techniques such as High performance chromatography (HPLC), Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), UV spectroscopy, Mass spectroscopy (MS), and different types of chromatography.

    • Nano-particles fabrication and polymer modifications followed by the characterization using dynamic light scattering (DLS), Transmission electron microscope (TEM).

    • Cell culture work and in vitro analysis, in addition to computational analysis using Maestro software.
