Dr. SaadaI hold a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with specialty in Hydrological Science and Engineering from Colorado State University (CSU). His education and experience deal, primarily, with stochastic modeling of hydrologic processes and water resources systems.
Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor of civil Engineering at Applied Science University (ASU) in Jordan. Prior to that he worked at Amman Ahliyya University (AAU) where, in 2008, was a founding member of the new Civil Engineering Department. He, along with another 2 colleagues, established the department of Civil Engineering at AAU. We created curriculums, course descriptions, equipped the civil engineering laboratories, and selected staff.
Dr. Saada was the Dean of Engineering at AAU (2015–2016). He was also the Civil Engineering department head at AAU (2021-2024) and the Environmental Engineering department head at Om Al Qura University (2012 – 2014).
In 2019, the Civil Engineering Department at AAU was accredited by ABET. He played a critical role in this accreditation as a faculty member, a department head, and a dean through the tough accreditation process, which started in 2014/2015 and was culminated with the accreditation in 2019.
Prior to that, he worked as the Vice President of Engineering at Meta Software Corp located in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. He was a member of the executive committee of the company and lead the engineering group.
Before joining Meta, he worked as a graduate research assistant for the Civil Eng. Dept at CSU.
Dr. Saada is operationally strong, well organized, and often seek additional tasks. Additionally, while he is a self-motivatedr and independent thinker, some of his strongest characteristics are his abilities to communicate, function and work as a team player
