Welcome to the electronic page of the Department of Interior Design. I hope that you can find all the necessary information that can help in not only answering all you questions and queries, but also provide you with some meaningful insights into this profession.

Interior Design is not just an academic discourse, it’s a profession that is ingrained in practical application that blends creativity with technical knowledge in an effort to reconsider, improve, and develop the interior spaces of the various buildings in a manner that improves the user experience in said spaces. In this specialization, you will delve into a wide spectrum of experiences such as adapting and refurbishing old buildings, improve and define spaces of newer buildings, in both tangible and intangible ways, all of which while taking into account aesthetics and visual styles.

The department of interior design has always strived to provide a holistic approach to the educational endeavor that merges theory and practice. As such, you will develop skills in free-hand and technical drawings, modeling, using the various relevant software’s and digital tools, develop the ability to communicate visually, learn about the various design trends and their historical origins. These various skills should help you in developing as you own designer with a personal set of qualities that can work efficiently and creatively in the ever-evolving market.  

Finally, I invite all students to take all the provided educational and practical opportunities by the Department of Interior Design, and actively participating in all the academic, and scientific research projects that can help further refine your knowledge and skills, in the hopes that one day, they will become pioneers in this profession and help pushing it into a brighter future.
