Wafa` Ahmad is a lecturer of general biology in the department of scientific courses unit at Applied Science Private University ( ASU ) with a master's degree in applied biological science from Jordan University of Science and Technology (just). I have worked as a lecturer for a year at JUST and Amman Arab university. I have also worked as a lab supervisor at the faculty of pharmacy and medical science at Alahliyya Amman University. Being a faculty member at ASU, I always strive to do my best to fulfill my duties and responsibilities, which are divided into teaching and research. We at ASU face enormous challenges in undergoing research. Yet, ASU supports researchers with modest research budgets to enable us to carry out research. I enjoy teaching that is given the biggest role here at ASU. I love to engage in class discussions and critical thinking.
I am interested the cellular and molecular microbiology. My focus is to identify the genetic basis of drug resistance bacteria; I am using molecular techniques such as PCR and DNA sequencing, in addition to tissue culture techniques. Recently especially during COVID-19, I have been interested in studying student behavior and university environments.
