Dr. Rawan AlAssaf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Applied Science Private University, Jordan, where she has been serving since October 2025. She earned her PhD in Philosophy of Nursing from the University of Jordan in 2025, with her doctoral research focusing on the effect of foot reflexology on pain management in patients with advanced cancer. Dr. AlAssaf brings extensive clinical experience to her academic role, having worked as Head Nurse at the Military Cancer Centre (2020-2024) and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in palliative care and pain management at King Hussein Medical City (2015-2016). Her research interests center on palliative care, pain management, and complementary therapies in oncology nursing, with publications appearing in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to academic books. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing nursing practice through evidence-based research, clinical expertise, and education.
