Dr. Haya Ibrahim Abu Maloh

Dr. Haya Ibrahim Ali Abu Maloh obtained her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Applied Science Private University in 2013. In 2015, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Nursing from Applied Science Private University with honors. Her Master’s thesis entitled “Nurses Perception of Open Visitation Policy at Intensive Care Units in Public and Private Jordanian Hospitals”. She worked in the Emergency Department from 2014 until 2016 in Amman, Jordan. During the period 2016–2017, she worked as an in-charge nurse for three departments: General Practitioner, Neurology and Rheumatism at Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After that, she was enrolled in the PhD program at the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2018. She completed her PhD in Nursing with honors in 2023. Her PhD dissertation entitled “Effectiveness of Benson’s Relaxation Technique on Perceived Stress and Pain Among Patients undergoing hemodialysis in Amman, Jordan”.​

  • Dr. Haya’s research interests are mainly related to adult patients, mainly hemodialysis patients and critically ill patients. More specifically, these interests include implementing non-pharmacological nursing interventions and complementary therapy. She is also interested in measuring the effects of depression, anxiety, stress and pain among critically ill patients and hemodialysis patients.​
