As part of the Communication Skills and Health Education course, students from the Faculty of Nursing at the Applied Science Private University paid a visit to a nursing home, where they organized a health education day for the elderly.
The educational day included awareness sessions on diabetes and high blood pressure, in addition to providing practical guidance on first aid procedures, aiming to enhance health awareness and improve the quality of life for senior citizens. In addition, the students measured blood pressure and distributed small first-aid kits to the residents.
This visit reflects the university’s commitment to community service and to developing students’ practical skills in effective communication, humanitarian interaction, and applying theoretical knowledge in real-life settings.
