Students from the Faculty of Nursing at the university organized an awareness activity as part of the Health Promotion and Communication Skills course, which consisted of an educational campaign for university employees about hypertension and diabetes.
The campaign included free blood pressure and blood glucose measurements, in addition to providing health guidance on prevention methods, regular follow-up, and the risk factors associated with these two widespread diseases. The students also offered a simplified explanation of the importance of proper nutrition, physical activity, and adherence to treatment for those affected.
The course supervisors emphasized that this activity aims to strengthen students’ skills in health communication, link theoretical knowledge with practical application, raise health awareness among university employees, and encourage them to adopt healthy lifestyles.
The campaign received positive engagement from employees, who praised the students’ efforts and the role of the faculty in promoting health awareness within the university environment.
