Health Sciences Conference “Excellence and Partnership in Healthcare

Applied Science Private University, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal and in partnership with Ibn Al-Haytham Hospital, inaugurated the activities of the Health Sciences Conference entitled “Excellence and Partnership in Healthcare”, held at the Dead Sea on the 22nd and 23rd of October 2025.

The two-day conference aims to highlight the latest trends in the health sciences fields and to enhance collaboration among experts, academics, and healthcare institutions locally and internationally through discussions of recent scientific and research developments and the exchange of expertise. The conference also covers a wide range of multidisciplinary topics that address current and emerging challenges in the healthcare sector.

Faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing played an active role in the scientific committee and the organizing committee of the conference.

Additionally, the Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), participated in conducting a specialized workshop titled “Patient Safety”, which addressed key principles and standards for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective healthcare. The workshop focused on promoting a culture of safety within healthcare institutions, enhancing the competency of nursing staff in dealing with potential risks, and presenting global best practices aimed at reducing medical errors and improving the quality of care.
