The Semantic Connotation of Contradictory Contrast in the Noble Qur’an, Represented in Serr (Concealment) and Alan (announcement)

Abstract : Semantic connotation refers to the harmony of the linguistic item or structure with other linguistic items based on their coherence within a specific context in order to achieve a specific purpose. Since Qur’anic semantic connotations are formed specifically through the interaction of words within the context, the study aims to determine the effect of the contradictory contrast between the words Serr (concealment) and Alan (announcement) in determining the connotation. A descriptive and analytical approach is followed to extrapolate the research material from its resources, present these contrasting patterns in different contexts and explore their depths, revealing what semantic connotations of these specific oppositional collocations indicate which is not shown by other lexical items or collocations. As a result, a number of results are concluded, such as noting the effect of the context in invoking the appropriate lexical item for the contradictory contrast, while excluding the use of other synonyms in place of the chosen item due to the context. Also, the semantic meanings of the words Serr and Alan are explained along with their equivalents. Finally, it is shown why the word Serr precedes the word Alan in all of the collocations.

The Semantic Arrangement of Antonyms in Clear and Ambiguous Vocabulary in the Qur'an

Abstract : This study seeks to investigate the phenomenon of antonyms that are used to convey clear and hidden meanings in the Qur’an, with the aim of discovering more about the juxtapositional use of two words with opposing meaning, and the reasons for the use of one specific word over another – specifically the phenomenon of lexical items that carry a clear, unambiguous meaning presented in juxtaposition with those that indicate a hidden meaning, and vice versa. The paper begins by clarifying the notion of thanāʾiyyāt ḍiddiyya (antonyms) and explaining their significance for accessing textual meaning, and their power to create a clear image in the mind of the reader, and to create a sense of wonder and amazement that leads to conviction. Following this, the paper will then present a number of ‘clear’ and ‘hidden’ antonyms in the Qur’an and examine the overall structure of the verse in which they occur in order to attain an understanding of their intended meaning and, from this, the structural function of antonyms in the Qur’an. This study does not restrict itself to a descriptive-analytical methodology that is founded in extracting meaning from where it is expected and thereby arriving at the same interpretations as exegetes, or in linking lexicographical meanings and interpretations to the Qur’anic context in accordance with historical understanding. Instead, a variety of approaches are applied subject to context, so they can be assessed and then validated or rejected. The study reveals that the structural function of antonyms in both clear and obscure vocabulary can be incorporated into the holistic meaning in order to arrive at textual coherence in accordance with the rules of waḥdat al-khiṭāb (‘discourse unity’) and murāʿat al-maqām (‘observation of context’).

SEMANTIC PATTERN OF GIFT IN THE NOBLE QURAN

Abstract : ALLAH has honored Arabic for preserving the Qur’an for it, and it is miraculous in its statement, wording and saying, and the Qur’an expression is based on semantic patterns that constitute as a whole the unity of the Qur’anic discourse unique in its composition and miracle. I was concerned with the study of the specialization of expressions in their homeland from the Qur’an context exclusively. From the positions in which the context (the gift) was mentioned, and after observing all the citizen and identifying the contexts that contained the gift, the effort devoted himself to the semantic pattern that concerned the verb with its revelations in order to reveal its truth and reveal its identity, and to explain the use of the word in its context and its harmonious and consistent relationship in order to show textual coherence between the signifier And its significance in its functional interrelated relationship between the context and the word gift, in conformity with the documented intent intended in the general verse, The study presented the views of commentators and linguists in its homeland, then the researcher directed the linguistic saying to clarify the situation, clarify the significance and reveal the harmony of the Qur’anic discourse, the location of the study according to the semantic pattern of the gift in the Qur’an.

THE QURANIC STUDY IN AL-JAHIZ’S BOOK KITĀB AL-BAYĀN WA AL-TABYĪN AS A MODEL

Abstract :: Despite the numerous studies that have been conducted on Al-Jahiẓ’s approach in studying the Noble Qur’an, his approach has never been fully apprehended. This research aims to gather the parts of his book “Al-Bayan wa Al-Tabyin” concerned with exegesis of the Noble Qur’an or its inimitability; to give a good perception of Al-Jahiẓ’s approach. The research attempts to explore his opinions regarding the Noble Qur’an, in the mentioned book, whether they are concerned with exegesis or rhetorical inimitability, then analyzing them, while comparing them to classic and modern opinions. Al-Jahiẓ limited his study of the Noble Qur’an to exegesis and rhetorical inimitability, and often referred to works of other scholars, only embracing the opinions of those who conformed with his Mu’tazilite school, which depends on interpretation, reason and delving beyond the apparent meanings of words. They set certain standards for themselves and produced an affected interpretation for the Noble Qur’an according to these standards, thus attributing other meaning to the verses than they would normally imply. As for the rhetorical inimitability, he gave special importance to the ‘the suitability of the word to the meaning’, although his study of this aspect was limited to emphasis alone

Factors Influencing Academic Staff Attitudes Towards Smart Boards Use in Education Process in Applied Science University

Abstract :This research aims to study Factors Influencing Academic Staff Attitudes Towards Smart Boards Use in Education Process in Applied Science University. Additionally, it seeks to examine the moderating role of the type of school. The research’s independent variables consist of Factors (interaction, self-efficiency, course design, technical support, convenience and accessibility), while the dependent variable is Attitudes towards smart board. A quantitative method used The primary data was collected through academic staff university email and through whatsapp. A sample of (N=27) respondents, who are academic staff in Applied Science University. The result of this research confirms showed that there is a significant positive impact of the smart board on the attitudes of faculty members through positive interaction between them and students and educational materials. The result of interviews this research confirms that the smart board supports the process of interaction between the lecturer and the students in one hand, and on the other hand, it supports the process of interaction between students and educational materials.

Research Title :University Students’ Use of Social Networking Sites to Spread Health Awareness

Abstract :This study aims to identify the use of social networking sites by Jordanian university students to spread health awareness about the dangers of drugs. This study followed the descriptive analytical approach, and a questionnaire was developed to match the study dimensions. The study population consisted of students from the University of Jordan, who were randomly selected (600 males and females). The study showed a significant effect of the University of Jordan students' use of social networking sites in spreading awareness about the danger of drugs. Also, there was a statistically significant difference at α = 0.05 for the Jordanian university students' use of social networking sites in spreading awareness about drug dangers. In addition, there were differences in the respondents' answers to the questionnaire due to the gender variable in favor of males. Furthermore, the results showed no differences according to the school year variable. In light of the current results, the study confirms the need to use social media to spread health awareness about the dangers of drugs, especially among students, because of the great damage to their health and society. Especially, university students are the educated group in society, and they have the role of educating others, not drug addiction

Research Title :The Contextual Spaces of the Arabic Nouns Alfi‘il, Al‘amal and AlSun‘ in the Noble Quran: Implications and Uses

Abstract :Objectives: Words need to be understood within context, as context tends to include certain words and excludes others, albeit close, according to the intended purpose. The present study investigates the semantic differences between three Arabic words (Alfi‘il, Al‘amal and AlSun‘) in the Noble Quran based on their contexts, taking into consideration the effect of each one in building the meaning. Methods: To this end, the descriptive-analytical method is adopted, starting with the lexical and idiomatic differences. Results: Then a number of relevant contexts in the Noble Quran are thoroughly analyzed, based on major dictionaries and language and exegesis references. Conclusions: The article found that alfi‘il is a general term and, al‘amal is more specific, while alSun‘ is the most specific and requires more professionalism. It is also concluded that each context needs only one of these to convey a particular meaning which the others cannot indicate.
