Students Services Department

About Department

The department provides a wide range of student services needed throughout their university studies, through its affiliated sections — each according to its area of specialization. The department’s main responsibilities include:

1. Issuing university ID cards for new students, as well as issuing replacement cards for returning students who have lost theirs.

2. Preparing and receiving applications for social scholarships offered by the university to students in need, following up on submitted applications to ensure they meet the scholarship requirements, and providing a detailed report on the applicants’ circumstances along with recommendations to the concerned parties for a final decision regarding eligibility.

3. Supervising the “Student Employment Program” by preparing and receiving related applications, contacting the various faculties and administrative units of the university to provide job opportunities for these students according to the adopted system, and directing their approved financial claims to the Finance Department once received from the employing unit.

4. Supervising and organizing student elections, including preparing and sending official correspondence related to all election procedures, announcing the opening of the nomination period, and informing students of the nomination and election rules and regulations they must adhere to.

5. Assisting the Dean of Student Affairs in investigating student cases and problems on campus by convening the investigation committee and disciplinary council to review cases, and preparing investigation reports and records of penalties imposed on violators.

6. Reviewing and updating the Student Guide issued annually by the Deanship of Student Affairs to guide new students and acquaint them with the regulations governing their academic journey.

7. Reviewing all content related to the annual yearbook for graduating students, including updating information about university faculties, departments, and administrative units, as well as receiving graduates’ photos in preparation for their inclusion in the yearbook.
