Semantic Disparity between Amr (Command) and Nahy (Negative Command) in the Noble Quran: An Interpretive:Contextual Study
Authors : Dr. Saad Abdullah Meqdad, Murad Rafeek Albayyari, Dr. Mohammad Anwar Al-Taher
Abstract : The present study explores the semantic disparity between the use of Amr (command) verb and Nahy (negative command), based on contexts of each in the Noble Quran. Among the key results of the study is that Amr mainly serves the obligation of carrying out the action promptly, or keeping it incessantly, which may or may not have started before the command. Amr often comes to refer to a desirable, commendable action. On the other hand, a Nahy, which consists of a present verb with Lā, typically necessitates halting a despicable action which is common or committed by some. It is found that the two structures may not be exchanged in the same contexts in the Noble Quran due to their different purposes.

Jerusalem Future Outlook Insights in the Noble Quran
Authors : Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Alrkep1, Dr. Mohammad Anwar Al-Taher, Dr. Saad Abd Allah Meqdad, Dr. Nidal Al-Shamali
Abstract : The people of the Book’s failure to shoulder the responsibility of the divine message had significant consequences. They were deprived from the great honour of holding the trust, and it was transferred to Ishmael’s children, to be completed and sealed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). That was also accompanied by major shifts. On the one hand, the Qibla came back to Mecca. On the other hand, the association between the Grand Mosque of Mecca and Al-Aqsa Mosque of Jerusalem constitutes a pivotal indicator of a continuous conflict between the new trust holders, Muslims, and those who deviated from the straight path, people of the Book. A number of forms of the conflict were mentioned in the Noble Quran, in which the latter exceeded the limits and offended mosques and other places of worship. As a result, they necessarily deserved present and future destruction. Divine rules are always valid against those who prohibit people from entering Almighty Allah’s mosques, since disgrace, fear, insecurity and instability shall be omensof their termination.

Authors : Sayel Hazaa Al- Hawawsheh, Saad Abdullah Jibrel Meqdad, Mohammad Omar Abu Rahme, Nidal Al-Shamali
Abstract : Despite the numerous studies that have been conducted on Al-Jahiẓ’s approach in studying the Noble Qur’an, his approach has never been fully apprehended. This research aims to gather the parts of his book “Al-Bayan wa Al-Tabyin” concerned with exegesis of the Noble Qur’an or its inimitability; to give a good perception of Al-Jahiẓ’s approach. The research attempts to explore his opinions regarding the Noble Qur’an, in the mentioned book, whether they are concerned with exegesis or rhetorical inimitability, then analyzing them, while comparing them to classic and modern opinions. Al-Jahiẓ limited his study of the Noble Qur’an to exegesis and rhetorical inimitability, and often referred to works of other scholars, only embracing the opinions of those who conformed with his Mu’tazilite school, which depends on interpretation, reason and delving beyond the apparent meanings of words. They set certain standards for themselves and produced an affected interpretation for the Noble Qur’an according to these standards, thus attributing other meaning to the verses than they would normally imply. As for the rhetorical inimitability, he gave special importance to the ‘the suitability of the word to the meaning’, although his study of this aspect was limited to emphasis alone.

Abstract : The semantic connotation refers to the harmony of the linguistic item or structure with other linguistic items based on their coherence within a specific context in order to achieve a specific purpose. Since Qur’anic semantic connotations are formed specifically through the interaction of words within the context, the study aims to determine the effect of the contradictory contrast between the words Serr (concealment) and Alan (announcement) in determining the connotation. A descriptive and analytical approach is followed to extrapolate the research material from its resources, present these contrasting patterns in different contexts and explore their depths, revealing what semantic connotations of these specific oppositional collocations indicate which is not shown by other lexical items or collocations. As a result, a number of results are concluded, such as noting the effect of the context in invoking the appropriate lexical item for the contradictory contrast, while excluding the use of other synonyms in place of the chosen item due to the context. Also, the semantic meanings of the words Serr and Alan are explained along with their equivalents. Finally, it is shown why the word Serr precedes the word Alan in all of the collocations.

The Constraint of Case (Object Complement) and the Constraint of Emphasis and Their Impact on Identifying the Meaning: A Study of the Term "Jami'an" (all) in the Glorious Koran
Authors : - Saad Abdullah Jibrel Meqdad
Abstract : This paper examines the discrepancy between the constraint of case (object complement) and the constraint of assertion exemplified by the study of the word "Jami'an" (all) in the Glorious Koran, the grammatical state of which always comes 'mansouba' (in an-nasb state). And then testing the hypothesis by deleting the case of these Koranic verses and bringing other in its place; a semantic assertion for example; all the way to the reach for the significance at that replacement, and finishing by assessing the validity of the aforementioned proposal or discarding it. The paper starts with introducing the notion of 'constraint' as a word and as a term surveying the opinions of linguists, grammarians with regard to the limits of the 'constraint' and by applying analytical descriptive method on inferring the Koranic verses studied. The study examined the Koranic significance performed by the term"Jami'an" (all) in the Koranic verses revealing the restriction heavily imposed on the usagethat requires the verification of the event and the occurrence all at one time. It seemed that this meeting on such form is more powerful and more suitable for the context of the speech, and by testing the replacement of constraint of semantic assertion (Jami' plus pronoun) in the place of the constraint of object complement "Jami'an" (all). It has shown that it did not exceed the denotation of assertion depending on the context. The study concluded the following results: - The Constraint is a complement attached to the 'attribute' and 'the attributed to' restrict the significance of one of them to prevent the multiplicity of possibilities in meaning, or limiting the significance of the launch of diversity and difference. - The constraint of semantic assertion of (Jami' plus pronoun) led to the significance of surveying and comprehensibility, without exception, of a part or the parts of the asserted. However, and despite this august significance, the requirement of time unification for the event is not achieved.
