Under the recommendation and support from the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the modern technology, Jordan become the first Middle Eastern country to join another 29 countries in taking part in the network which called Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) in Atheer Center in Jordan University which is the first step to employ and serve the development in teaching-learning process and provides a chance to exchange expertise and information in various fields of education.

Through Atheer center students and tutors will be able to provide interactive learning capabilities all over the participating countries across geographic and time barriers, as well as exchange information via satellite with their counterparts in several countries. In addition, the Center aims at providing a platform for the sharing of real time experience on different issues of development among participating developing countries.

The purpose of this study was to know the impact of e-learning from the point of view of students and tutors in Atheer Center at Jordan University, in addition to search about the differences between learners and tutors. And in order to achieve this aim; the following will be analyzed:

  • What is the impact of e-learning on pedagogy from the point of view of the tutors and learners?

  • What is the impact of e-learning on the learning efficiency from the point of view of the tutors and learners?

  • What is the impact of e-learning on the tutor's role from the point of view of the tutors and learners?

  • Are there any significant differences between the tutors and learners point of view on pedagogy, learning efficiency and tutor's role?

​The researcher used the descriptive approach as it fits the nature of the study. The study sample was tested in Atheer Center Network Laboratories in online learning at Jordan University. The study tool was a questionnaire covering three main domains (pedagogy, tutor's role, and effectiveness).

Data were collected and analyzed with the assistant of SPSS where means and percentages have been calculated for the study sample. Results showed that there was a positive impact registered from the point of view of students and tutors on pedagogy, tutors role moderate impact on effectiveness. Results also showed that there were significant differences between the tutors and students on pedagogy tutors role and effectiveness in favor of the tutors. Then concluded a number of recommendations of which the researcher call for the impact of e-learning on Jordan University.
