Dr. Salam Hamdan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing at Applied Science Private University, Jordan. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an MSc in IT Security and Digital Criminology from Princess Sumaya University for Technology, both earned with distinction. Dr. Hamdan’s academic and professional experience spans more than a decade across teaching, research, and industry. Prior to joining ASU, she served as a Cybersecurity Officer and System Administrator at IrisGuard UK Ltd, where she led the company to achieve ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. Her research interests include secure communication protocols, digital forensics, IoT and cloud security, edge computing, federated learning, and machine learning applications in cybersecurity. She has published several papers in reputable IEEE and Scopus-indexed venues such as Sensors and Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory. At ASU, she teaches and coordinates practical cybersecurity courses and is dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education and research in emerging technologies.
