Rawan Jarrar is a Lecturer at Applied Science University (ASU) with an academic background in Computer Science and Data Science. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Data Science, combining strong theoretical foundations with practical, industry-oriented applications.
Alongside her academic role, she has gained solid experience in backend development, which she developed in parallel with her work at the academy. This experience has strengthened her ability to bridge academic concepts with real-world applications in software development and data-driven system design.
She currently teaches, and is interested in teaching, a wide range of courses in Computer Science, in addition to applied, industry-focused courses such as programming in different languages, website and web application development, databases, and software systems development. She is also interested in teaching courses related to her Master’s specialization in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, and applied data-driven solutions.
Her academic and professional interests focus on software development, data science, applied artificial intelligence, and integrating modern industry practices into higher education to better prepare students for their professional careers.
