Amneh Shtaiwi. I was originally born in Kuwait (1986) and now I’m an assistant professor at Applied Science Private University in Jordan. I study Physical Medicinal Chemistry and its impact on drug design and molecular modeling. My interest in physical and medicinal chemistry began when I first studied the development of a Tamoxifen drug to treat breast cancer. I did my undergrad degree in Chemistry at Al al-Bayt University, my master's at The Hashemite University, and my Ph.D. Fellowship in Medicinal Physical Chemistry/drug design at University Sains Malaysia. I was assigned as assistant professor of Medicinal chemistry for 5 years at Middle East University-School of Pharmacy in Jordan. Recently, I received two prestigious research visit awards. The first, is (HPC-Europa3) program which was funded by the European Commission in 2022 at the University of Eastern Finland, Finland, and the second is funded by the University of Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco, 2023.

  • Physicochemical drug properties, Thermodynamics of drug-target interactions, Computer aided drug design to design anticancer-antibiotics and anti-Alzheimer, Computational chemistry, Molecular modeling, MD simulations, Organic synthesis of medicinal ligands.
