Vision
To establish a website design, building and maintenance strategy that shall grant ASU global recognition.
Mission
The mission of ASU Website Unit is to provide ASU students,
faculty/staff and management with current and useful online
member-driven information regarding all university related events and
activities in both Arabic and English languages.
Objectives
The main objective of the Unit is to promote and reflect the growth
of the university through dynamic, specialized, up-to-date, and relevant
information.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities of the Website Unit
1- Follow-up the University website on a regular basis to ensure that it works without any interruptions.
2- Determine the main structure of the website, and the subsequent main
gates and sub-sections and propose any additions or amendments in this
regard.
3- Determine the website content including information images and video files.
4- Design procedures that ensure ease and speed of updating information on the website.
5- Follow-up the website development plan based on suggestions from
members of the Unit and from all departments and units at the
university and take the necessary decisions and actions in this regard.
6- Search for and find new ways to improve the classification of the
site by search engines, especially the basic classification of
Webometrics in order to improve its ranking among other universities
websites.
7- Meeting with the liaison officers in various colleges and
departments to make sure that information is entered and modified on a
regular and ongoing basis.
8- Provide consultation for improving the image of the website to be accepted by the website visitors.
9- Follow up the implementation of the plan and monitoring its progress with various colleges and departments at the university.
