Abstract : This article discusses the distribution of pandemic in the world and pandemic curve in Jordan and how the science of probability and statistics predict when active cases tend to zero by determining the shape of epidemic curve and relating it to a special probability distribution that has specific measures and properties. At the beginning of the outbreak of any virus in a society, reliable data describing it and its spread will be rare, hence researchers set up statistical models that have the ability to predict the spreads’ shape, where the prospected people hosting such viruses will go to and the likelihood of transmitting it to places they travel. Those models use known statistical measures that estimate the probability of disease transmission from infected people to others. In addition, the factors related to roads and people’s movement, taking into consideration, public health interventions, such as wearing masks, closing places of people’s aggregations like schools, universities mosques and churches and quarantine make difference in numbers of infected people. The fundamental differences between the “Spanish flu” that attacked the world a hundred years ago and “Coronavirus” the world facing since the beginning of the current year 2020 is the amount of huge data concluded from scientific studies and reports related to virology and epidemiology.

Abstract : This study aims to identify the effect of using a STEM-oriented (Science, Technology Engineering & Mathematics) teaching program in teaching mathematics on critical thinking skills among high school students in the Riyadh educational region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The sample of the study consists of (88) male and female students selected randomly from the "Advance Schools for Smart learning" in Riyadh city, where the semi-experimental approach is used. The results of the study show that there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the degrees of analysis skill, induction skill, reasoning skill, skill of conclusion, and evaluation skill in favor of the experimental group. The results also showed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores for the analysis skill, the induction skill, the reasoning skill, the conclusion skill and the evaluation skill for the benefit of the experimental group. The results also show a statistically significant difference between the mean scores for the scale skills as a whole and for the benefit of the experimental group. The results of the study show that there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the critical thinking test skills and the total score attributed to the gender variable (male and female). The study recommends adopting the STEM approach in teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects, and redeveloping and building the content of science and mathematics curricula for the secondary stage through relying on science standards for the next generation, and working on adopting a special curriculum to teach the STEM approach and include it in the next plan for general education stages.

Abstract : We prove in this paper several fixed point results for mappings that satisfy certain contractive conditions in generalized cone metric spaces. Importantly, our results generalize, extend, and unify some other results in the literature in the sense that they are analogous to those for cone metric spaces, but in a more general setting, where we have here G-cone metric spaces, or in the sense that they are extension or generalization of some other results proved previously in G-metric spaces.

Abstract : In 2007, Haung and Zhang introduced the notion of cone metric spaces. In this paper, we define an ordered space E, and we discuss some properties and examples. Also, normed ordered space is introduced. We recall properties of R, and we discuss their extension to E. We introduce the notion of E-metric spaces and characterize cone metric space. Afterwards, we get generalizations of notions of convergence and Cauchy theory. In particular, we get a fixed point theorem of a contractive mapping in E-metric spaces. Finally, by extending the notion of a contractive sequence in a real-valued metric space, we show that in E-metric spaces, a contractive sequence is Cauchy
