The department is one of the main educational departments at the university level. It is responsible for managing the University's compulsory and humanistic requirements at the Faculty of Human Sciences and Arts. In pursuit of the vision of the University and the College, which is keen to provide subjects that meet the needs of students in all faculties of the University by offering basic supportive materials to their various specializations in the fields of humanities, social and national sciences.
These courses aim to provide students with basic knowledge and life skills that qualify them for the labor market and communicate with the local and global community. Such as: Communication skills in Arabic, communication skills in English, university life ethics, introduction to sociology, national education, sports, health, etc. As well as encouraging and engaging them in community work that develops their relationship with society, promotes their positive values in societal and national issues. The department includes an outstanding teaching staff from a variety of disciplines suited to the Department's requirements.
Objectives
1. Build students' abilities by empowering them with the knowledge and leadership skills that qualify them to serve the local and regional community.
2. Graduate distinguished students who possess the basic knowledge and skills that qualify them for the local and global labor market.
3. Provide students with basic communication skills in Arabic and English: reading, writing, expression and conversation.
4. Contribute to community service by addressing various social, behavioral and motor issues and problems and educating students about them.
5. Guide students' positive abilities and attitudes to develop their mental, psychological, social and sporting dimensions in order to achieve self-fulfillment and promote their belonging to the nation.
