The Faculty of Law team at Applied Science Private University won first place in the inaugural Moot Court Competition on Commercial Arbitration Cases for the 2024/2025 academic year, competing against 14 public and private Jordanian universities.
The students were trained and prepared for the competition under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Al-Dhneibat and Dr. Lana Al-Khalaileh from the Faculty of Law. The participating team members were Omar Gheith, Mohammed Al-Ayoun, Dana Bani Mustafa, Hamza Nakhleh, Lina Al-Sououb, and Moayad Awad.
The competition was held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Jordanian Judicial Institute, under the patronage of Amman Arab University and Dar Al-Thaqafa for Publishing and Distribution. It aimed to enhance legal knowledge in the field of commercial arbitration. The competition plays a crucial role in raising awareness of arbitration and commercial law, fostering competitiveness and respect among participants, and equipping students with essential skills and experiences for practical life through pleadings before specialized arbitration panels.
The Faculty of Law is committed to organizing moot court competitions twice every academic year (in both Arabic and English). These competitions serve as practical simulations of real court trials, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
