Dr Sufian currently works as an assistant professor at Applied Sciences University (ASU), last year he worked as a visiting post-doc researcher and research associate at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah at UAE.
Sufian was born in Zarqa city, Jordan, in 1968. He was awarded the Ph.D. degree from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) – Islamabad Pakistan, in September 2020. His MS degree was awarded from the New York Institute of Technology NYIT in 2012 and received his B.S. from United Arab Emirates University in 1991
His publications and research interests include medical image analysis, AI, machine learning, 3D reconstruction, data science, fraud detection, time series analysis, and computer vision. The main Ph.D. research area is in employing artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and advanced digital image processing techniques to diagnose the severity of eye disease based on the symptom's early detection.\
From 2001 till now, he has managed to deliver innovative revenue-generating solutions and services in multiple organizations and firms across countries.\\
Dr. Badawi received the Operational Excellence award for integrating the PTCL payment system with the core banking systems of 40 banks and the branch-less banking solutions (easy paisa, Mobi Cash, and UBL-OMNI).
