Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing

Overview

​​The Department of Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing was established in the academic year 2021/2022  to keep pace with rapid developments in cybersecurity and the increasing use of cloud computing locally and globally. The development of this section is a response to the rapid development of digital transformation processes and the high rates of cyber-attacks, and the risks of cyber hacking. Therefore, the speciality aims to rehabilitate a generation with the knowledge and skills necessary to use different tools to detect and address breaches and vulnerabilities and enhance the efficiency of cloud storage security as the storage platform is commonly used. The section also contains numerous scientific and practical materials related to ethical hacking, digital forensics, encryption, cyber warfare, cloud computing, and network security. Several programming languages related to cybersecurity and cloud computing have also been included as Python to develop various security tools. The decision to establish this section was made after consultation with specialists in institutions.​​​
