On Monday, November 25, 2024, Dr. Yara Khawaja from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Electrical Engineering Department, organized an interesting workshop titled "Thermal Imaging and Its Applications," presented by Eng. Jeries Dayeh, the General Manager and Founder of Adva Therm. The event drew the participation of faculty members, engineering students who are interested in the latest advancements in thermal imaging technologies. The workshop highlighted the principles of thermal imaging and its diverse applications across various industries, including energy efficiency, preventive maintenance, and discovering faults on power systems and PV

systems. Eng. Jeries shared real-world examples from his extensive experience, illustrating the transformative impact of thermal imaging in modern engineering practices and beyond. Additionally, he showcased two thermal cameras and provided a live demonstration, offering students a hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the technology. The event provided attendees with an opportunity to explore the potential of thermal imaging technologies, inspiring students to consider innovative approaches in their future projects while emphasizing the importance of technical advancements in enhancing industry standards.
